Tuesday Night
So I'm the stupidest person on earth, or so I feel.
The key part of my bulding madness is that I was going to network my two computers together. I bought a hub and got some wires. So today I decided to set this machine up as a host and get the network started before I build the other computer. Uh. Umm. Did I mention that I'm the stupidest person on earth?
The new computer has a build in network port. I remembered that THIS on had one on the back. I remember it clearly. Sure I do. I plug the wire into the back of the hub and go down to the back of my computer and ... and ... and ... there's no port to stick it into. D'OH. If you've followed this blog you know I replaced my motherboard last year when the old motherboard didn't work with my video card. Guess what? It was the OLD motherboard that had the dongle for the network. Sure this one has a network in the BIOS, but I never bought the dongle for it, so guess what? LOL. Waiting for another thing to come in the mail.
So what I'm waiting for: processor, external modem, network card.
If all 3 don't come by thursday, I can't take my new baby computer (and it's SO tiny that it fits in my breadbox) with me to my business seminar. Oh well.
In other news, I finished the conversions. I even added a site search to the site. Just go to my stuff and pick "site search." I resubmitted all the metatagged pages to google so HOPEFULLY they'll start showing up one of these days. The weird thing is that only 140 of the 200+ pages were actually in the google index. So I resubmitted the site and hopefully they'll all be indexed in the near future.
