A week later ...
Just some random notes before I prepare for my evening shift at work. Working 8-Midnight tonight and I'm so not in the mood to do anything work related right now.
I put up two new strips tonight and hopefully will be getting back into the pace of doing 4 strip chunks. I'm trying for 4 a week when I have good material; 8 a week when I have great material; and well, a couple of dozen at a time when I have total crap.
In the last month or so I've done 50 strips and we're well on pace to reach strip #200 by the end of the week if I get some time (it's literally the week from hell). The subject of strip #200 has already been announced on the web but I'm not going to spoil it here. You'll just have to find it yourself.
I'm in the middle of doing some layouts for a basic site redesign. Not many changes. Well I want to do a whole new look and feel for the site, but really, umm, this site is low budget for a reason -- I don't know what the hell I'm doing with my photo editing software half the time. I will admit I'm a jack of all trades when it comes to technology and that I really wish I had some sort of graphic arts skills. We'll see what it leads to. I have a layout in my head and I'll figure it out.
Right now I must also admit to loving the new "Po Leo Yo" character. His voice is a cross between David Spade's "hip" character, Chris Rock and Jay from Jay & Silent Bob. I must make a distinction between the character of "Po Leo Yo" and Leo's normal character somewhere down the line. I'm not sure where right now but if you've ever watched the classic TV show "Taxi," you'll remember the character of Ladka (played by Andy Kaufman), had a similar personality disorder in the form of Vic Ferrari. So, come to think of it, "Po Leo Yo" is Leo's version of Vic Ferrari. If you haven't seen Taxi, then go find reruns. You're not geeky enough to get the reference and that's probably a blessing. :)
On that note, I'm out to take the Yoshi & Megan edition of the Screen Savers.
Take care all.
