Saturday Saturday

Saturday night and I'm listening to Christmas music because I'm too lazy to click on something else in my winamp window. Skinned, of course, with Washu from the Tenchi. Earlier I had it skinned with Natalie Portman from Attack of the Clones, but dang it, I want to get some work done and she was too distracting. :)

Catching up on things tonight as my computer was down again this week. I went to install a new graphics card and it froze everything up. I mean total freeze ONLY when the damn board was in the system. So I tried a few things and then it was caught in a loop so, in madness, I reformatted my hard drive. Didn't help any. The card was bad according to ATI.

So ... I reinstalled and reformatted 5 or 6 times now, I lost count. I'm half expecting everything to crash right now and kill everything I worked all day to get back on. I mean that's what my luck was like this week. Everything that could possibly go wrong did. From sound card issues to issues with my dish to ... well I could go on and on but I won't. The Carpenters "Merry Christmas Darling" is dapening my spirit right now.

Updates and Things

Monday afternoon and I'm half awake. Getting through the last couple of hours before I can fall over and take a late afternoon nap.

Yesterday my late afternoon nap resulted in a song parody being stuck in my head. After a couple of minutes of swearing at one demented Justin Russell (razzlefrazzle man), I sat down and posted the song to Leoville. It was quickly followed by two more and before I knew it a demented girl named Summer Russell (no relation), had recorded the first of the parodies and it's now avalible for download from my members.aol.com space. Feel free to pass it on or share it, it's a little rough, but hey, it's a fun little song from an afternoon nap.

Updated my links this week. Took down some dead sites and put up a handful of new sites. I took down one site in particular last week because here's the deal: You flame the hell out of me for something I didn't do, you don't apologize once you know the truth, I'm not linking to you. It's that simple.

On that note, my temples are throbbing and I'm winding down. Hope everyone is having a great monday.

Listen, do you want to know a secret?

After midnight translations of the Japanese used in "Strange Interlude pt. 1". An exclusive to the blog ...

According to the Japanese Phrases You Need to Know and the Useful Japanese Phrases sites, Kate is uttering the following:

Kono ika o kette mo kamaimasen ka?
Do you mind if I kick this squid?

Omawarisan! Chikan o tska-mate!
Police! Arrest this pervert!

Ahoka! Sodai gomi!
Shame! Public Humiliation!
(To be shouted at baseball players when they err.)

Osoroshii kangae nimo osoware mas.
I have many evil thoughts.

Suiteki de atama ni anao akararete iru yona kokoromochi deshta.
It was like drops of water boring into my skull.

Ohesotte nani?
What is the meaning of my bellybutton?

There ya go, thanks for reading the blog! :)

Oh, my head ...

It's something like 9:45 am on a Sunday morning and my head is spinning and I want to climb back into bed.

I'm currently writing this to avoid writing my sunday morning weekly report, which is due in about 2 hours. No one is going to read it utnil 4 pm or so, and no one will get back to me on anything in it unless I put something in it that's so out of line that they have to scream or yell or whatever. That rarely happens. Rarely, I say. :)

Drove a lot last week. Did the raw numbers and it ended up close to 1000 miles with all the mystery shops. It really caught up to me last night as I got home from a trek to Evil James' house, signed on and was abused by a friend who is far more evil than I can imagine.

Cranking David Bowie's "Heroes" now, don't mind me.

Paul Block opened up a blog this week over on Leoville. Why he's doing it on *Leoville* instead of on TechTV's site itself is beyond me (and why does EVERYTHING have to be a plug for Leo these days?), but at least he's allegedly reading and considering our thoughts. I give him another week before he scraps the idea.

On that note, this headache is getting worse, I'm outta here ...

Almost Done!

Early Friday morning now, the redesign is pretty much complete. I surprised myself with how quickly I was able to convert the index and the season pages to the new format. The only real thing I have left to do is some art for the 5 squares on osme of the header graphics. Messing around with some now, and if you were following our progress tonight you can see that we finally settled on the 5 squares featuring the show logo for most of our main screens. Not sure if I like it in that format.

The poll is now working for those who want to vote. The message boards are probably a dead issue. Freetools.com dropped message boards sometime in the past couple of months. Since they were only used for friends anyway, I might as well let that part of the site retire for now. I'm seeing enough message boards lately on my day job anyway. :)

I'm heading to bed in a few. In the morning I have a haircut and more mystery shops. Nothing big today, just some fairly-less-remote stops. Not sure how long it's going to take. I want to be home quickly though. I'm tired of being on the road and lol, I just have to turn around on Saturday because I'm going out again. This time to Evil Jim's to FINALLY have someone to play 2fk2k2 for Xbox with. 2k2 is an addiction. A horrible wonderful addiction that needs to be shared with anyone who loves console football games. It should tide me over for the 12 days until WWF RAW comes out at least.

On that note, goodnight and sweet dreams.
