WWF MONDAY NIGHT RAW 5/26 by MADDOGJMF
WHAT YOU MISSED: STEVE AUSTIN & SHAWN MICHAELS come out for an interview. They are joined by THE LEGION OF DOOM.  The Legion demand a title shot if Michaels & Austin win — Michaels agrees . . . THE LEGION OF DOOM vs. JIM NIEDHART & BRIAN PILLMAN: Slow match until THE HART FOUNDATION attack the Legion, Michaels & Austin make the save.  Michaels accidently nails Austin with a baseball slide and that leads to a brawl between the two .  . . words from PAUL BEARER . . . DLO BROWN over BOB HOLLY . . . words from THE UNDERTAKER on his 1 hour to make a decision . . . comments from JERRY “THE KING” LAWLER . . . KOTR ROUND 1 — JERRY LAWLER vs. GOLDDUST: Lawler worked well, for Lawler.  Golddust was, well, Golddust, and has added rubbing Lawler’s face in his crotch to his list of moves.  But Lawler stole the victory with by putting his feet on the ropes during a pin attempt.  Golddust beat the heck out of him after the match highlighted by Lawler falling down and rolling down the entrance ramp in order for MARLENA to step on him on the way back to the dressing room . . . STEVE AUSTIN interview — cut short by a HART FOUNDATION attack . . . STEVE AUSTIN went into SHAWN MICHAELS dressing room and Michaels yelled at him for not watching his back from a Hart Foundation attack . . . FLASH FUNK vs. ROCKY MIAVIA: THE HEADBANGERS attacked both men outside the ring, leading to the win for Rocky . . . brief highlights of Pt. 2 of the Mankind interview . . . an interview with THE HART FOUNDATION . . . AHMED JOHNSON vs. VADER — for AHMED JOHNSON’S spot in the KOTR semifinals: easy win for Johnson with the spinebuster . . . words from PAUL BEARER . . . ROCKABILLIE vs. HUNTER HEARST HELMSLEY: Helmsley uses CHYNA to get the win . . . words from THE UNDERTAKER — he says that Paul Bearer should do what he has to do, and in return, he’ll do what he has to do . . . SABLE shows off the KING OF THE RING chair . . . Pt. 2 of the Mankind interview. A look at MICK FOLEY as DUDE LOVE. A look at the early development of CACTUS JACK . . . SHAWN MICHAELS & STEVE AUSTIN vs. DAVEY BOY SMITH & OWEN HART — WWF WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES: THE HART FOUNDATION come down to watch before the first commercial break. Turns into a decent match and we get NEW WWF TAG CHAMPS when Austin pins the Bulldog after a Michaels superkick. After the pin The Hart Foundation beat up Michaels while Austin walks up the ramp to beat the heck out of Bret Hart . . . STEVE AUSTIN says he won the Tag team titles by himself, SHAWN MICHAELS interrupts and they argue. Next week they’ll face THE LEGION OF DOOM in their first title defense . . . a clean shaven an auburn haired PAUL BEARER comes out for an interview.  He says that he knew the Undertaker for a long time before BROTHER LOVE brought him in.  He says that he was the mortician and funeral director for the Undertaker’s parents but there were 3 graves — not 2.  The Undertaker’s music plays and Undie comes storming out. Undie says that he hates Paul with all that he is.  That he loathes him and says that Paul Bearer’s attorney will have to reveal the secret because Bearer will be in no shape to do it.  Undie goes to chokeslam Bearer and stops.  He looks at Bearer and then lets him up, then lets go of him.  HE gets down on one knee and points to Bearer as we fade out . . .

WHAT YOU MISSED: The NWO music plays and NWO ERIC BISCHOFF comes out.  He drops to his knees and kneels as HOLLLYWOOD HOGAN comes out.  Hogan says he’s back to kill STING.  He calls out Sting.  NWO Eric says Sting isn’t here because he’s afraid of Hogan.  Hogan says he’s gonna slap anyone with Sting makeup on.  His music plays and he leaves . . . JUVENTUD GUERRERO, SUPER CALO & HECTOR GARZA vs. LA PARKA, EL CYCLOPE & DAMION: Hector Garza pins Cyclope to get the win. GREAT MATCH! More! More! . . . PSYCHOSIS vs. ALEX WRIGHT: Wright is more aggressive and dancing but Psychosis gets the win with a guillotine leg drop off the top rope . . . SONNY ONNO interview. He says that MASA CHONO’S nightmare is in the back.  Onno brings over Psychosis, Psychosis says “Yes, of course.” when Onno says he has a deal for him.  MADUSA comes out.  She says she’ll do ALMOST anything for a Ladies title shot.  Onno says okay — if Madusa loses in the title match at THE GREAT AMERICAN BASH she has to retire.  Madusa agrees to the match . . . ERNEST MILLER footage . . . WRATH over MARK STARR . . . VIALANO 4 fell to KONNAN. HUGH MORRIS came out during this match but WCW Security took care of him . . . SONNY ONNO comes out and introduces the nightmare of Chono — THE GREAT MUTA.  Muta vs. MASA CHONO: Onno yells at Muta during this match.  He gets into the ring.  Muta sprays mist in Onno’s face and Chono attacks Muta as Muta goes NWO . . . a taped segment with RANDY SAVAGE . . . KIMBERLY comes out followed by DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE.  DDP does an interview with GENE OKERLUND but our hearts stay with Kimberly . . . THE BARBARIAN returns to defeat to JIM POWERS . . . CHRIS BENOIT & WOMAN interrupt the Barbarian & JIMMY HART interview.  Benoit says he’s sick and tired of the same old song and dance and that KEVIN SULLIVAN’S “leave of absence” is a bunch of Hooey.  Hart says that if Benoit wants Sullivan he’ll have to defeat The Barbarian.  Benoit gets in the ring.  Hart says they’ll wrestle next week at NITRO . . . THE GIANT w/LEX LUGER over JOHNNY SWINGER, JERRY FLYNN & RICK FULLER . . . SYXX comes out and says that NICK PATRICK was not reinstated until the day after SLAMBOREE so his decision doesn’t count.  He brings out SCOTT HALL & KEVIN NASH. Nash and Hall say that they’ll put the belts up against RIC FLAIR & RODDY PIPER . . . MONGO & JEFF JARRETT vs. HARLEM HEAT: KEVIN GREENE does color commentary. Mongo leave the match to attack Greene.  Jarrett gets pinned and MRS. MONGO bad mouths Mongo . . . HOLLYWOOD HOGAN & NWO ERIC come back out.  Hogan says the belt is on the line if only Sting would come out and take it. NWO STING appears from under the ring.  He points his baseball bat at Hogan.  He gets down on his knees on command.   Hogan spits and the fake Sting worships the ground Hogan spits on. STING appears from the rafters and Scorpion Death Drops Eric.  Hogan turns around and falls over the fake Sting. Hogan gets a baseball bat and brings the NWO out.  The NWO circles the ring and comes in as Sting hooks the rope back on and he goes flying back up to the rafters . . .

WHAT YOU MISSED: The show opens with the ending of a recent SHANE DOUGLAS vs. CHRIS CHETTI match.  Douglas wins after Chetti missed a double springboard moonsault and Douglas hits him with a Belly to Belly . . . RICK RUDE & JOEY STYLES welcome us to the show, taped at ECW’S debut in BUFFALO, NY . . . SPIKE DUDLEY vs. TAZ: Taz lets Dudley gets some moves in, but it’s a no contest — Taz wins via Tazmission after destroying the last of the “good” Dudleys . . . highlights from the Buffalo show: THE PITBULLS come out to face THE FBI … a look at BALLS MAHONEY swinging his chair … THE SANDMAN coming out from up in the audience … LOUIE SPICOLLI throwing TOMMY DREAMER down the bleachers … TOD GORDON confronting BILL ALPHONSO … and the Buffalo look ends with THE GANGSTAS brawling with THE DUDLEYS, followed by THE ELIMINATORS joining and winning the 3 way by pinning MUSTAFA & BIG DICK DUDLEY after a double total elimination . . . the PULP FICTION segment deals with the subject of ROB VAN DAM: CHRIS CANDIDO says that Van Dam will fit in in NY because he’s a (TOS) just like the rest of them up there … RICK RUDE says that Rob better bring jelly with him … RAVEN says that it’s the 90’s and selling out is the thing to do … THE PITBULLS want to beat the crap out of Van Dam and that if he comes back to ECW they’ll kill him … THE SANDMAN says he’ll give up beer and cigarettes for a shot at Van Dam … BILL ALFONSO rants that he should be with Van Dam … TERRY FUNK says he’s disappointed that Van Dam would want to associate with the people from NY and that Van Dam would become one of 100 mass products VINCE MCMAHON puts out and Van Dam will be lost in the shuffle … SHANE DOUGLAS claims that WWF stands for “WE WANT FRANCHISE” and “If they can’t have me, I guess they’ll take you” … SPIKE DUDLEY yells about how it sucks … LOUIE SPICOLLI says to say “hi” to SHAWN MICHAELS and HUNTER HEARST HELMSLEY … TOMMY DREAMER calls Van Dam a traitor … JOEL GERTNER introduces THE DUDLEYS.  BUH BUH RAY DUDLEY says that if Van Dam wanted to play with “crap” he should have stayed in ECW … SATURN of THE ELIMINATORS says that he’s angry that Van Dam would sell out the company that they bust their butts for … THE FBI say that Van Dam could never be a member of the FBI and that they make him mad.  It ends with TOMMY RICH ranting about JOHN CLAUDE VAN DAM and GORDON SOLIE on Monday Nights … BILL ALPHONSO back to rant about how Van Dam gives him a check every time he wrestles … CHRIS CHETTI says that he’s a rookie but that he’d love the opportunity to show what ECW means to him … FRANCINE says she’s done a lot of things for money but she’d never do what Van Dam did … BEULAH says that Van Dam has heat with the company and that he’d get burnt (while holding a cloth to her electric hair curlers), if he back peddles … BALLS MAHONEY says he’ll bash Van Dam’s head in … and it ends with TOD GORDON indefinitely suspending Van Dam from ECW . . . DREAM PARTNER TAG TEAM MATCH: RAVEN & STEVIE RICHARDS vs. TOMMY DREAMER & ECW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION TERRY FUNK: Raven chastises Richards for most of the match.  They come close to trading blows for most of the match.  Match ends, however, with LOUIE SPICOLLI coming in to attack Dreamer & Funk.  Spicolli gets Funk up in the Death Valley Driver but Stevie Steviekicks him while he’s falling backwards, knocking both he and Funk out.  Stevie then gets the upset pin of the world heavyweight champion . . .
