He has them go higher and it’s lame . . . DOK HENDRIX wants us to buy the PPV . . . a look at the Steve Austin/Vince McMahon situation . . . Michael Cole with Vince McMahon. Steve Austin crashes it. Austin says that if McMahon screws him he’s going to beat him up in front of the world . . . an interview with DUDE LOVE . . .
MAIN SHOW WHAT YOU MISSED: DLO BROWN, MARK HENRY & ROCK MIAVIA vs. FAROOQ, KEN SHAMROCK & STEVE BLACKMAN: long and boring match. Farooq pins Miavia with the dominator . . . STEVE AUSTIN comes out. He brings the timekeeper in the ring that he’s had problems with (the guy who gave DUDE LOVE the win over STEVE BLACKMAN on WAR ZONE on VINCE MCMAHON’S orders). He promises the time keeper that if McMahon gives the order to screw Austin that he’ll beat him so bad that he’ll never work in the WWF again . . . OWEN HART vs. HUNTER HEARST HELMSLY — WWF EUROPEAN TITLE MATCH w/CHYNA LOCKED IN A CAGE ABOVE THE RING: it’s a brawl outside the ring before the match even starts. They finally get in the ring and it’s their typical no-frills match. Chyna dropped a saw that she had up in the cage. Chyna eventually bends the steel bars of her cage. She gets out of the cage and is hanging from it. Hart gets Hunter in the Sharpshooter and the cage starts to lower. Chyna gets to the floor and distracts Owen. We see ROAD DOG by the controls. The ref. and a second ref. try to get rid of Chyna. Owen uses the pedigree on Hunter. XPOC runs in with a fire extinguisher and hits Owen, 1-2-3 win for Hunter. After the match Owen says the B.S. is going to stop and things are going to change . . . an interview with XPOC (who is sitting with DR. TOM PRITCHARD in the AOL area) . . . JIM CORNETTE comes out. He berates the fans for liking THE ROCK ‘N’ ROLL EXPRESS. He announces THE NEW MIDNIGHT EXPRESS. Ooooh it’s a title match for the NWA TAG TEAM TITLES. SABLE vs. LUNA — EVENING GOWN match: MARC MERO comes out and distracts Sable. Luna rips off Sable’s gown while she’s distracted. After that Sable strips Luna and powerbombs her. They go under the ring and Sable comes out with Luna’s undergarments. Golddust puts his robe around Luna and we all are afraid of Sable’s enhanced chest . . . VINCE MCMAHON comes out and says something catastrophic will happen tonight. He says that can mean anything. He says he’s here because he was born in North Carolina (where the event is being held). He says that it would be beneath his dignity to screw Steve Austin out of the WWF Title so he wont respond to it. However he says he wont be held responsible for what happens in the ring tonight if Stone Cold screws Stone Cold . . . LEGION OF DOOM 2000 vs. THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS — WWF WORLD TAG TITLES: ROAD DOG comes out and says that DEAN SMITH will be their manager tonight. They bring out a blow up dummy as Mr. Smith. Road Dog accidently hits BILLY GUNN with the title belt to knock him out of the ring. HAWK then rolls up the stunned Road Dog in a back roll up for the pin and the WWF World Tag Titles. Or so it seems. The New Age Outlaws are announced as the winners since Hawk’s shoulders were down. Hawk clotheslines the ref. and they do the Doomsday device on him . . . JEFF JARRETT sings with SAWYER BROWN. It’s a duet with the lead singer. Fargo struts abound. Steve Blackman attacks Jarrett afterwards and puts Jarrett in a submission hold. TENNESSEE LEE makes the save by hitting Blackman with a guitar. Jarrett puts Blackman in a figure four and the crowd chants “we want Flair!” . . . KANE vs. THE UNDERTAKER — fire match: the fire is provided by natural gas burning flames set up below the bottom ring ropes. Match is slow with the gimmick of the fire over shadowing the lack of skills of both guys. PAUL BEARER throws in a chair and Kane uses it on his brother. Undertaker superplexes Kane from the top rope. Kane runs off to the locker room and Undertaker is trapped by flames. VADER attacks Kane and the Undertaker does a plancha over the ropes onto Kane. Paul Bearer hits the Undertaker to a no sold chair shot. Undie takes the
chair and knocks out Kane. Undie chases Bearer up to the Sawyer Brown area and puts a drum on Bearer’s head and rams a microphone stand in his chest. Undertaker comes back and gets Kane’s heavily padded arm to catch on fire and the Undertaker wins the match . . . DUDE LOVE vs. STEVE AUSTIN — WWF WORLD TITLE: VINCE MCMAHON is not at ringside. McMahon comes out with PAT PATTERSON & JERRY BRISCO half way through the match. He sends Patterson & Brisco back to the dressing room and he looks at the time keeper and the keeper looks away as McMahon smirks. Later austi nis down outside the ring and McMahon is ordering Austin to beat Love in the ring. McMahon walks backwards to seemingly set up Austin for a Love sneak attack. Love has Austin in an adominal stretch and McMahon motions to the time keeper to ring the bell but stops when Austin reverses it (the time keeper didn’t see what he was doing). Love accidently nails the ref. with a clothesline. While the ref. is down Austin goes for the stunner but gets caught by the mandible claw. Austin is fading and McMahon gets up. Austin breaks the hold and McMahon comes in to revive the ref. Claw back on but the ref. won’t get up. Love breaks the hold. Love gets knocked out of the ring and Austin and McMahon struggle over a chair. Austin blocks several chair shots by Love. McMahon tries to help Love up and gets a chair shot to the head by Austin. Stone Cold Stunner and the ref. is still out. Austin counts the three himself and his music plays and holds his own arm up in victory. They come out and work on McMahon at ringside. Jerry Brisco gives HOWARD FINKEL the riot act. Finkel announces that Austin was DQ’d for hitting a WWF official and Love wins the match. It ends with them taking McMahon out on the stretcher . . .
