Addressing the Englewood, Colorado, City Council for the third City Council meeting in a row, Christopher “Denver Metro Audits” Cordova (DMA) again took on the portions of Englewood’s Code of Conduct that he felt were unconstitutional.
In perhaps the weakest of his three appearances on the subject, DMA rambled through his allotted five minutes of speaking time, DMA started by thanking City Manager Shawn Lewis for apparently agreeing to remove the personal hygiene portion of the Englewood city Code of Conduct, which unofficially governs the standards of behavior expected from Englewood citizens on Englewood properties.
He also claimed that he had sent his thoughts in a detailed letter to the city council, which most of the members had reviewed, and again thanked Lewis for starting work to have the leaving personal property code removed as well.
From there, he again addressed the code’s ban on watching pornography in public. While he claimed he was against public display of pornography, he also awkwardly claimed that it was unconstitutional to ban someone from watching it in public.
Appearing sweaty and uncomfortable during this portion of his address, DMA stammered through, attempting to explain that the ban on pornography was among the “common sense” items such as “no hitting” that are outlined in the code of conduct he claims have no purpose being there as “everyone knows” you can’t do that in public.
DMA promised to continue to hold members of the Englewood city government accountable for “wrongdoing” and blasted government in general for ignoring its own laws while enforcing those same laws for everyone else.
Notably absent from the City Council meeting was advocate for the homeless Regan Benson, who was scheduled to speak in the same public feedback portion of the meeting. Benson did not do her usual live stream and did not appear when called on to speak. It is unclear why Benson missed the event at press time.
