Despite promises that his “We Support People” would be fully functional by “Monday or Tuesday” of the week, it appears that Jose “Chille” DeCastro’s planned 501(c)(3) has failed to materialize after the third straight week of promises that it will be fully functional.
DeCastro has claimed since last fall that he had filed paperwork for his planned We Support People organization through LegalZoom, which he claims would allow his followers to make “tax free” charitable donations to his organization and legitimize his efforts to help clients pay rent, pay for lawyers, and pay on-going expenses.
However, DeCastro seems to have little knowledge of the process, admitting on February 3 that he had yet to be assigned an Employer Identification Number (EIN) for the charity and later claiming to be “fighting with the state” over the process to form his organization.
DeCastro had no real updates on his Wednesday live infomercial, other than promising that the organization would be up “soon” and attacking other prominent figures in the First Amendment auditing community for their lack of community involvement.
While attacking such figures as Lackluster, James Freeman and Josh Abrams, DeCastro described his altruistic efforts, funded by his viewers, to pay rent, find attorneys for, and generally help those who come to him – with video footage of negative interaction with police – in his on-going efforts to fight what he says are the tyrannical actions of the police force in the United States.
DeCastro then updated his plans for his future governorship of an unnamed state by telling a customer that he would allow citizens to “scan stop signs” in his state to gain access to video files detailing all videos recorded by police concerning police activity around the stop sign.
The conversation with the customer, who was informed that he was being recorded but not that he was on the air, dominated the first portion of Wednesday’s live infomercial with DeCastro giving legal advice to the man on question of having to give his identification to the police and having to leave his car at the command of police during a traffic stop.
DeCastro later spent time attacking YouTuber Coffeezilla, who recently put out a video exposing YouTuber Spencer Cornelia, who DeCastro has expressed admiration for in the past. Writing a response on Cornelia’s video addressing Coffeezilla, DeCastro challenged Coffeezilla to come at him and attempt to “expose” him.
Coffeezilla has yet to respond to DeCastro’s challenge as of press time.
