Jose “Chille” DeCastro’s Sunday night infomercial featured a general slow down of sales and interest in DeCastro’s line of anti-police products with DeCastro appearing angry and confused at times as fans speculated about his continued ill health.
DeCastro announced on Sunday that he was now on day five of a “seventeen-day water fast” in which he would not intake any calories and had been avoiding drinking water. The YouTuber was still suffering from a cold but claimed that his sinuses were draining and that the fasting had left him with a heightened awareness of the world.
While watching videos from the Pinal County Sheriff Show featuring Frank Sloup, DeCastro began to meander through his thoughts as he became distracted by his low sales during the broadcast. After multiple weeks of seven-day live informercials, the YouTuber had only reached a single sale by the end of the first hour, ultimately ending the show with two announced sales from his website.
Frustrated, the YouTuber began to lash out at his own audience for asking him to help. He yelled directly at an audience member seeking help with a FOIA request, telling the customer of his own sacrifice for the cause. DeCastro indicated that he had three full time projects at hand, no girlfriend, and no social life, and no longer had time to help people in need unless they had video he could share of their strife.
DeCastro pleaded with his audience to follow his videos and not wait for him to help. He indicated that YouTuber John Filax had used his video about filing FOIA requests at a City Council meeting recently to great success and that he would be holding a fundraiser to support Filax later this week.
The YouTuber then showcased his recent traffic citation in Wisconsin for a broken taillight as an example of how his viewers could use his products to “dominate” police. DeCastro praised his own technique during the video of the stop but failed to tell his audience that the stop ended with DeCastro being cited for the broken taillight. DeCastro did not fight the ticket in court and quietly paid the associated fine on Friday.
Chille DeCastro is expected to resume live streaming on Monday, November 13, 2023.
