Despite an hour-long live stream put on by Brian “Here’s the Deal” Young, Jose “Chille” DeCastro’s “Legal Defense Fund Crime Scene Tape Illegal Arrest” campaign, crucial in getting DeCastro a lawyer to defend himself against his up-coming trial for making false statements to a police officer in Las Vegas, saw only $10.00 in total donations on Monday.
Young’s inability to promote DeCastro’s causes is to the comical point at this time as no links to DeCastro’s GoFundMe campaigns were offered in the description of the chat and few of DeCastro’s supporters stuck around long enough to hear Young continue an inept takeover of DeCastro’s larger channel.
If anything, Young has regressed in his hosting abilities, forgetting to support his long-time friend’s financial campaigns and products, offering only to fill time to a diminish audience desperate for news on DeCastro’s plight in jail and receiving only retread arguments from his own “Here’s the Deal” channel.
While DeCastro did better than all of the other auditors that we cover in his combined take for Monday, $10.00 is $10.00. It will barely pay for a basic McDonalds meal in Las Vegas, let alone pay for the $30,000.00 DeCastro claims he needs to pay for his defense in his pending criminal case.
Young’s presence may be hurting more than it is helping DeCastro at this point as YouTube views are diminishing and Young’s not holding the audience that is literally chomping at the bit for any information on DeCastro. Donations should be a no brainer at this point, especially with DeCastro continuing his campaign against Justice of the Peace Ann Zimmerman.
We will continue to monitor Young (and Michael Ehline) and the attempt to help their friend, but we do not expect a turnaround in donations by the time DeCastro needs his current $30,000.00 goal to be met.
Finishing with our standard reminder that we have a GoFundMe of our own! By contributing you help us eat, pay bills, keep the lights on, pay for documents in the cases we cover (we spent $17.00 yesterday just to bring you documents in DeCastro related cases), and justify spending a hundred billion hours writing the news!
