[Disclaimer: While this article is written as satire, we are not making light of Jose “Chille” DeCastro’s very real and disturbing attacks on Lauren Wickman. DeCastro’s threats should be taken seriously and Wickman’s office has been notified of the attacks as of press time.]
Like an aging 80’s rock band brought back together for one last chance of stardom at a Las Vegas residency, Jose “Chille” DeCastro brought back all of his “hits” for an extended attack on Delta County, Michigan, Prosecutor Lauren Wickman.
Onlookers saw all of DeCastro’s greatest “hits” on display: overzealous attack on a woman, half truths that he didn’t check out, lousy support from his road crew (is this the end for DeleteLawzClips?), feigned anger turned to real rage as he worked himself up into a frothing spitting mess, claims of being the world’s dangerous man, stalking and harassing in the name of “journalism” and, of course, the spectacular botched encore of leaving a dreaded Google review.
DeCastro took to his YouTube channel Saturday afternoon with news that YouTuber Press with Rancor may or may not have been about to be charged with cyberstalking for allegedly previously discussing the prosecutor’s office in his interference case out of Michigan on a DeCastro YouTube broadcast. Rancor wasn’t really sure, the second unidentified voice on the phone said the e-mail Rancor was looking at wasn’t even from prosecutor Lauren Wickman, but a light bulb went off over DeCastro’s head and he launched into a greatest hits rant that would last over an hour.
Channeling parts of the great Colombian Airport Rant of 2022 and the dreaded Judge Allison D. Burroughs rants of late November/early December, DeCastro hulked his way onto Wickman’s old Facebook campaign page. Directing his fury and fire at Wickman, he mocked the personal photos of Wickman, who he referred to as “Laura Wickerman,” then directed his followers to brigade her Facebook and e-mail with negative comments. Taking so long to write his e-mail that by the time he returned to Wickman’s Facebook page, she had been tipped off to the brigading by Discord users on Kate Peter’s “Chille Watch” channel and had pulled the page.
This would not stop DeCastro. He was then provided the Delta County Court House page google listing by DeleteLawZClips, and did not check the link before diving in to leave a negative comment. DeCastro proceeded to distribute the link and have his follower write negative reviews of Wickman on the Delta County, Colorado Courthouse page. Eventually, embarrassingly, discovering his error after fans shouted at him for five minutes in his side chat that he was on the wrong page. He eventually found the correct page and directed his fans to go there, but by then, the shock and awe campaign had failed, as for every negative post left by his fans, a positive post was left by someone from Kate Peter’s “Chille Watch” Discord channel.
DeCastro’s greatest hits added a slightly new variation of the “I am never going to stop, I will do weekly segments to expose you, lady” as DeCastro promised to bring his supporters, in the name of journalism, to go to Wickman’s house and do “interviews” with her. He directed his followers to find Wickman in public and “ask her questions” before leading a campaign to get her “unelected” from her position as prosecutor in Delta County.
All in all, the shock, the anger, the dread, came off to many as a tired old rehash of greatest hits from a man who should have enjoyed quiet retirement a decade ago. As one near immortal Scottish yet unnamed YouTube personality may have allegedly not put it, “You know, I quite liked his haircut, but he didn’t grace us with anything new. I’ve been hearing these rants since the late 1780s. Oppression, depression, police hate. You know, they don’t play with the youth market today. I may be experiencing the 20’s for the third or fourth time around, but I know the youth market and this does not appeal to it.” Right you are, Shuggy, right you are.
DeCastro may or may not return to live broadcasting on Sunday, February 5, 2023. Refunds for his previous performance can be had by directing inquiries to his usual account.
