On a night theoretically dominated by news of Jose “Chille” DeCastro’s bail hearing refusal, SeanPaul “Long Island Audit” Reyes (LIA) drew a legitimate 17,000 viewers to his livestream featuring his confrontation with “America’s Worst Mayor” Tiffany Henyard.
LIA was already in Dalton, Illinois, where he had previously attempted to confront Henyard at a town hall on Monday night in which Henyard failed to appear. The mayor was in attendance at a second town hall Tuesday night, where she attempted to defend herself against charges of corruption by her community and ultimately came face to face with LIA during the public comment period of the meeting.
Masterfully timing his confrontation by claiming that Henyard was sending “goons” to monitor his every move (with no “goons” or anyone near him visible during those reports), LIA’s audience grew from 9,000 to 12,000 to 17,000 as LIA embellished what was happening in front of him and his side chat became a nightmare of unreadable reactions from his fans from simply the volume of messages coming through at one time.
In comparison, Brian “Here’s the Deal” Young’s livestream on self-proclaimed “most popular auditor on YouTube” DeCastro’s channel in reaction to DeCastro’s bail hearing denial briefly drew 700 fans to Young’s presentation earlier in the evening. While a huge number for DeCastro’s channel, it was only 4.1% of the audience who would witness LIA’s confrontation with the rogue mayor.
Self-proclaimed “Super Mayor” Henyard has been the center of embezzlement allegations in recent weeks. It was announced on Tuesday that the Henyard-controlled Dalton village board would be hiring controversial former Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot to investigate Henyard for corruption at a charge of $400-an-hour. LIA’s confrontation came at a town hall filled with angry citizens of Dalton who were reacting to the announcement.
After waiting through nearly a dozen speakers, LIA’s approached the podium to address Henyard. In a dramatic moment, LIA hurled accusations of corruption towards Henyard as Henyard completely ignored him, instead focusing on hiding under her hair as she spoke to a fellow board member.
In a mix of dejection and empowerment, LIA finished his prepared statements to a lackluster response from the crowd, before fleeing the meeting before Henyard’s real or imagined “goons” could apprehend him.
While his confrontation largely fizzled with the live audience at the meeting, the sheer volume of viewers only reaffirmed the belief by many that LIA is the true “number one” first amendment auditor on YouTube. It remains to be seen whether rivals, including DeCastro, will ever match his record setting attendance numbers.
