Regan Benson and Denver Metro Audits brought another small group of protesters to the Sheridan, Colorado city council meeting to protest their ejection from the meeting place earlier in the month. Benson’s group dominated the allotted time for members of the public to speak to the council with a coordinated series of threats and insults directed towards the council and police chief Jeffery A. Martinez.
Auditor Sweet Tea was apparently served before the event with a restraining order given to her by a councilman’s girlfriend, who Tea was in an altercation with after the previous city council meeting. She was barred from attending the meeting, which helped to enrage the small but vocal group of protesters recruited by Benson’s group.
