Jailed blogger Aidan “Turtleboy” Kearney (Turtleboy) responded to the 300-page response to Karen Read’s attempt to disqualify the Norfolk County District Attorney with a snarky “nope” of sorts and a plug for his up-coming release.
Kearney wrote:
Message from Aidan: I have read the hilarious 300 page Commonwealth motion and will be writing up a response this afternoon. I wish I could go live to talk about it, but I plan on this being one of the first topics on my first show back, one week from today.

The response by the prosecution in Karen Read’s murder trial was released to the public on Friday, February 16, 2024. It contains details on Karen Read’s defense team’s efforts to use Turtleboy as a mouthpiece for Read, leaking not for public information to the blogger for distribution through his media channels then citing him as a source when the information leaked.
It also outlines why Turleboy has been convinced that federal agents would soon be arresting witnesses in the case and Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey. It reveals strong evidence that the U.S. Attorney’s Office, led by Josh Levy, was cooperating with the defense, and conducting their own investigation into the case without sharing their findings with the prosecution.
Levy’s investigation, which has yet to produce tangible evidence, was cleared of any wrongdoing by Levy himself after a complaint by the Norfolk County District Attorney’s office.
The document also details Karen Read’s attempt to disassociate herself from Turtleboy since he was jailed for violating conditions of his bond on charges related to his efforts on behalf of Read. Read now calls Turtleboy an “intimidator” who apparently worked on his own to intimidate witnesses without her blessing.

Turtleboy’s new focus has been his claims that he’ll be released on February 23, 2024, as that, he claims would mark 60 days of incarceration. A recent ruling by the Massachusetts Supreme Court found that the Judge who revoked his freedom after he allegedly attacked his girlfriend hours after being released on his own recognizance for multiple Karen Read related felony charges acted appropriately in jailing the blogger.
There seems to be some confusion about Aidan's next court date. The docket on MassCourts currently says the bail review is 2/26. That is incorrect. Aidan will be brought into court, in custody, on Friday morning 2/23. Bail will be reset and he will be released a free man that…

While there are no court calendar listings to back Turtleboy’s claims, he has assured his fans that he will be freed on Friday and has invited them to attend his hearing in Norfolk Superior Court.
