An angry Floyd Wallace lashed out at his fans on Sunday as he announced that he no longer planned to travel within the Dominican Republic and would be returning to the United States once his next check from YouTube arrived.
Wallace was again frustrated by his lack of daily donations from his fandom. He claimed he had appeared on panels for other shows and had watched as others with similar channels to his would receive random super chat and cashapp donations from their followers and was jealous of their power over their fans.
The YouTuber, who had previously implied that racism was a factor in his fans not “appreciating” his efforts with cash donations, whined to regular channel contributor Jackie Apple that he did not understand why he was not meeting his cash goals.
Criticism from fans has always been that Wallace does not provide entertainment value during his livestreams. He does not appear on camera for the majority of his streams, has no interesting thoughts or opinions to share, and expects to be given money for holding his livestreams to for his fans to “experience life in foreign countries” but rarely, if ever, shows footage from the countries he visited that justifies that premise.
Ultimately, Jackie Apple suggested putting up a poll of sorts with donation campaigns from Wallace’s followers. One side would be those who wanted him to return to the United States and the other would be those who wanted him to stay in the Dominican Republic. The “winning” side would determine Wallace’s future.
Wallace currently has multiple outstanding legal issues, including trial in Normon, Oklahoma, with hearings in the United States in May. While Wallace has claimed he can attend the hearings via Zoom and that he wasn’t worried about the “traffic tickets” and misdemeanor offenses, his planned return to the states has been on the table for some time.
The YouTuber returned to sex tourism last year after months of auditing in the United States after a falling out with Jose “Chille” DeCastro. DeCastro had been managing Wallace’s lawsuit against the Las Vegas Metro Police Department when the wife of Jason Dollarhide, another YouTuber DeCastro had been helping, accused Wallace of sexual assault.
DeCastro reportedly paid off Dollarhide’s wife not to press charges then immediately dropped his support of Wallace in the LVMPD case, which was voluntarily dismissed last fall. Wallace has been living overseas since that time.
