Home from the retail job and I’m catching the end of the latest Dr. Who on SciFi. Yes, I’m still the big Dr. Who geek. I’ve watched nearly every episode that’s been out on DVD in the past year (spanning all 10 doctors) and had literally 23 or 24 years of fandom before the new series finally arrived on SciFi. Did I mention I’m a geek? Good, now remember that.
Today’s the first day of 4 consecutive 9 to 11 hour days. Between the retail job and the computer job, I’m not going to be sleeping that much. I’ve been trying to find the time to get “the roomie” to write his letters to Daniele (yes, thanks to Joker’s Forum member Shard for giving me a heads up on the name change), and I really can’t wait to get the new computer so I can start throwing a lot of my old TechTV comic strips into the new format. Though, lol, time’s a commodity that I’m in dire need of at the moment.
I had tried Comic Book Creator to start converting strips into the comic book format that I dream about. However, lol, I used the program for 2 whole days before upgrading to Windows Vista and getting rid of my Windows XP machines and … you guessed it, the program doesn’t support Vista at all. They’ve been working on fixing that since March and I finally have lost patience enough to look at my options for alternative programs.
Since my friend Michelle is arming me with a MAC (gah!) in the near future, the closest thing I’ve found in MAC software is Comic Life, and it looks like it’s what I’m going to go with for this project. I literally have hundreds of old comics to convert and oh my god, they have a Windows beta version. Hmm, maybe I don’t need a dreaded MAC after all!
Salvation? Hmm. Nope, Michelle says I still have to get a MAC.
Dammit.
