Ah, rain. It has snowed quite a bit this winter. So much so that I was contemplating finally breaking down and getting a snow blower … until I saw the prices. Yowza. You can get a computer for those prices. So I’ll stick to my patented snowplow style of shoveling and just bitch and moan here for the rest of the winter. Right now I love the rain that is falling because it’s making all the wonderful snow from all the previous snowfalls finally go away. Sadly, the forecast for tonight states that the rain is going to turn to snow and then it’s going to snow for the next five days.
I love winter.
Got up early so I could watch some non-college football related TV for the first couple of hours of the morning. Sadly, we still haven’t gotten our dish fixed, so it’s out due to the rain. I know my luck, as soon as I decide to put a DVD in, it’ll come back on (like last night) and I’ll watch in horror as yet another football game starts. The good news is that there are only a handful of games left. The bad news is that most of them are today and I won’t get any sleep until Friday night. I love life I really do.
Last night was strange enough. I kind of slept, I know my eyes were closed and I know I had a lot of odd dreams; but I didn’t rest. I didn’t give in to actual sleep so I woke up more tired than I was when I went to bed. It was very strange. I have to be to work in 64 minutes and god, I don’t feel like being online. I feel like I have a hangover, yet I don’t drink and I haven’t. I actually feel like doing my strips, but, lol, umm, I did 21 strips in 3 days, it’s going to take a while for even the most dedicated of you guys and gals to catch up.
Everything happens for a reason in my strips. That’s one thing you have to know. I put weird stuff in there on purpose. If I don’t have an immediate payoff with a gag, like the Leo fainting episode in the Megan’s pregnancy strip, then it will (hopefully) have a payoff down the line. Sure sometimes I’m weird just to be weird, but I usually have some idea where the little gags are going down the line. I do.
Of course, on the other hand, I had NO idea what I was doing with season 14. I knew I had to use up as much of the old footage as I can (and lol, I still have loads to go), I wanted a big cast this time and the idea of a telethon sort of worked. It was, of course, inspired by the Call For Helpathon, but dammit, they should have taken donations. I would have pledged $100 to keep Cat off the air. Really, I would. Digressing. I really had no clue other than it had to end in the footage with Robyn and Martin. That was always going to be how I got the Gnome off the TSS set and onto the Call for Help set. The rest? Well, as I put it, “sheer crap that I wrote while I was under the influence of bowl season.” I hope you enjoyed it. If ya did, please take a minute and sign the guestbook. Really.
And those who are counting, next episode is 225. If I do another marathon we’ll probably be at 250 by the end of the month but … umm … I so need to work on that life thing. 🙂
