I’m holding off on the last thoughts about the MAC for a week or two. Right now I’ve made it into my primary instant message and blogging machine. It has a spot on my desk right next to my giant monitor, and I use it to instant message on while I use the main PC for other things. I also use it late at night or in the early mornings to do shifts at the online job.
There are still a lot of things I’m figuring out about the system. Sadly, there’s simply too many things you can’t do on a MAC that you can do on a PC. Really, let’s face it, there’s a piece of software for PCs for every subject you can think of. It is not the case with the MAC. I could never do one of those lame “iSWITCHED” bs blogs because frankly, there’s not enough software for the MAC to quit.
I am giving it another couple of weeks before I give final judgment though as they’re about to release a total system upgrade to the MAC OS. When that happens I’ll use the MAC exclusively for a week and then blog once more.
So far though, I’m just not a MAC person. It’s nice enough, but give me VISTA any time.
And yes, I know, many people just spat coffee at their computer reading that.
Have a wonderful day.
Jim
