Both Jose “Chille” DeCastro and Attorney R. Paul Katrinak exchanged motions in relation to an outstanding motion to compel in his California based lawsuit against Michael “Blue Bacon” Pierattini (Bacon), Team Skeptic, Kate Peter and Daniel Clement.
DeCastro’s filing came first and amounted to his version of Katrinak’s previous claims that DeCastro was elusive and non-responsive in his participation in the discovery process. As expected, DeCastro’s version of events claims that Bacon and Katrinak were to blame for nearly everything they accused DeCastro of not providing in the discovery process, as Bacon started things by being non-responsive in his initial discovery declarations to DeCastro.
DeCastro’s discovery motions, included in his filing, sticks to his story that all of the defendants, apparently including Irish Demon (who he identifies as Sean or John O’Dea), were all high-ranking members of “The Troll Mafia,” a mafia group that conspired to do all of the events outlined in his complaint in the lawsuit.
Information requested of Bacon included the organizational structure of the Troll Mafia, all communications Bacon participated in between key members of the group, all communications between Bacon and every member of Kate Peter’s Masshole Troll Mafia Discord server and essentially all communications Bacon has had with anyone anywhere that mentioned DeCastro by name.
DeCastro took Katrinak to task for not knowing that he has moved to Las Vegas and for scheduling a deposition during time that would have been scheduled for DeCastro’s trial for his 2023 arrest in Las Vegas for interfering in a traffic stop and obstructing a police officer. DeCastro’s trial was canceled due to his encounter with “bad Korean BBQ” making him too sick to attend his hearing, but DeCastro did manage to hold a five-hour live infomercial later the same day.
Without offering proof or specifics of anything related to the case, DeCastro also chastised Katrinak for wanting reimbursement for the deposition Katrinak had scheduled that DeCastro did not appear for, claiming that Katrinak’s hourly rate was too high for a cut rate lawyer who was ignorant of the law.
DeCastro went on to attack Katrinak for not understanding that because all of the charges he posed against the defendants applied to them equally, that he was not required to prove his accusations or specify which accusations would then apply to Bacon.
Strangely, DeCastro then attempted to file a meeting with Judge H. Jay Ford III for Thursday, February 15, 2024, in order to discuss dismissing the upcoming court dates scheduled by Katrinak in private.
Katrinak fired back by explaining that he was very frustrated with DeCastro’s actions in the lawsuit as at no time has DeCastro directly accused or shown any proof why Bacon should be included in the lawsuit.
DeCastro refused to provide any responses in the discovery process (which resulted in Katrinak’s recent 700+ page filings documenting DeCastro’s non-answers and why they did not grant him the right to skipping the Discovery process), and a year after filing the lawsuit, has still refused to participate in the lawsuit itself – seeking delay after delay in order to drain Bacon of funds for lawyer and court fees.
Katrinak also took DeCastro to task for not informing the Court (or Bacon) of his recent move to Las Vegas or of his commitments to his on-going criminal trial, explaining that DeCastro was solely responsible for updating all parties with any changes to his location that would impact the lawsuit.
Both DeCastro and Katrinak accuse each other of not reading or comprehending the other side’s motions and DeCastro is seeking a denial of the motion to compel along with sanctions, while Katrinak affirmed his position in backing his original request.
DeCastro’s motion for a hearing on February 15 has not been decided as of press time. The next hearing with all parties in the case is currently scheduled for February 20, 2024.
