Regan Benson went live from what she described as an “illegal” gun buyback program as the RAWTools organization held a “Guns to Gardens Safe Surrender Event” at the Denver Community Church downtown Denver.
Benson claimed that despite assurances by the RAWTools website that the destruction of firearms as they were traded in was approved by both the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Colorado State Attorney General, the event was illegal according to her research.
The YouTuber and activist was largely ignored as she meandered around the grounds of the buyback program, staying on the public sidewalk as she seemed lost in tangents on her live stream. At one point the YouTuber was oblivious as she complained about signage blocking the sidewalk as she, herself, was standing motionless in the middle of the sidewalk and blocking the entrance to the event.
Benson would rage to her 76 viewers that she disagreed with gun buyback events and that when the coming “reset” was coming to the country, those who gave up their guns would be defenseless about the tyranny she promised was coming to society.
Strangely, the YouTuber apparently assessed her own family, pondering which of her sons and grandchildren would prove to be “true” Bensons and share the beliefs that would align with hers. She blamed public schools for their miseducation and implied that only time will tell if they would prove to be worthy of the name.
Turning her attention to Robert, the homeless man she took for amputation surgery the day before, Benson said she had concerns about the rehabilitation facility he ended up in as she claimed it failed in proving fresh water or pillows to Robert so he could prop his leg up.
She also expressed concerns that Robert would forget to eat when the cafeteria was open, and that the facility would be ill equipped to provide Robert with his medicines or deal with his pain management issues.
Benson promised that she would soon be stepping back from her attempts to help the homeless as she could no longer afford to put herself in constant turmoil over the homeless. It is unclear what the future of her homeless outreach charity, Helping Hands for Dignity Coalition, will hold pending this announcement.
