Those enamored by Craig Hendry’s long flowing curly hair, scraggly beard and white suits that made him look like a cross between infamous cult leader David Koresh and a Southern Baptist minister got a surprise on Monday as Hendry completely changed his look.
His long flowing curls replaced by a fade with sideburns and beard replaced with what one commentator called a “bitchin’ pornstache,” Hendry debuted his new look as he live streamed on his drive to Greene County Superior Court in Indiana as he was facing arraignment hearings for multiple charges that had previously seen his bond revoked in an unrelated case.
Hendry picked up a charge in March of making a false complaint against a law enforcement officer after telling a city council that police had broke into his house and robbed him when they attempted to carry out a search warrant when he wasn’t home.
This charge was added to a previous charge in March in which Hendry ignored an officer’s request to obey the Indiana law establishing a 25-foot buffer zone around a criminal investigation. In that incident, Hendry complied to some extent, backing away from the officer, but ultimately forced the officer to measure his compliance efforts, resulting in his arrest.
Hendry’s bond for stalking and harassment charges from Vermillion County, Indiana, were then revoked and Hendry spent a weekend in jail, refusing to eat or drink, until bond was raised for his release.
It is unclear if any of these incidents impacted Hendry’s decision to change his appearance, though his attitude did not change in both of his Monday streams. Hendry remained assertive that the charges were illegally brought against him and that he would prevail in fighting them both before and after Monday’s hearing.
He assured his viewers that he turned a simple arraignment hearing into a battle of wills as he debated the wording of the encroachment charges, demanding the Judge state why the word “forcibly” is included and question why his shining of a high-powered flashlight in the eyes of the officer on the scene could be considered use of force.
Hendry then switched gears and invited all his fans to attend his May 1, 2024, trial in Boyd County, Kentucky. The Youtuber implying a party like atmosphere at the gathering as he will be represented by Larry “The DUI Guy” Forman for disorderly conduct charges.
