Craig Hendry’s girlfriend Erica provided another update to the jailed YouTuber’s status as she was unsuccessful in obtaining his freedom due to lack of available bail bondsmen in Indiana.
Posting on Hendry’s YouTube Community Page, Erica posted that her attempts to find a bail bondsman failed as Vermillion County, Indiana, does not normally give out percentage bonds. Because of this, she had to seek a bail bondsman from outside the county who was still qualified to provide bond within the county.
After hours of searching, she claimed to have found a bail bondsman qualified to bond out Craig Hendry, though was not available to do so until Monday, April 1, 2024.
Hendry has been imprisoned for over a week now in Vermillion County for violating the terms of his bond in his on-going stalking and harassment charges in the county. He turned himself into prison and has claimed to be on a hunger and thirst strike since entering jail.
The YouTuber has set up a GoFundMe in order to help with his on-going legal bills in both Indiana and Kentucky, as Jose “Chille” DeCastro, his benefactor, is currently in prison. Brian “Here’s the Deal” Young, speaking on behalf of DeCastro, recently reported that DeCastro has suspended his program to help other YouTubers with their legal bills.
DeCastro claims to be facing $48,000 in legal bills and will only help Hendry with funding from his two GoFundMe campaigns, including one set up specifically to help other auditors, until his financial needs are met.
