A highly triggered Jose “Chille” DeCastro announced on his Sunday night live infomercial that he has been forced change the way he ships his trifold products due to his “broccoli wad rubber band” interfering in the U.S. Post Office’s automatic sorting process.
DeCastro noticed problems with many returned envelopes last week along with customer complaints that envelopes containing his trifold products were often ripped open or mangled when they arrived at customer’s addresses.
The YouTuber originally blamed a vast government conspiracy for the damage to his envelopes. However, after confronting a postmaster at his local post office, it appears that the “broccoli wad rubber band” contained in each package is getting caught in the U.S. Postal Service’s sorting machines, which is causing the damage to the products.
After initially announcing that he would be adding a $1 surcharge to each trifold order to cover separate shipping of the rubber bands (which DeCastro describes as “essential” to the trifold package), DeCastro remembered that he had bought a “hand cancel” stamp from Amazon that should solve the problem.
Marking each envelope with “hand cancel” essentially asks the post office employee that handles DeCastro’s envelopes to cancel the stamp on each envelope manually instead of putting it through the post office’s sorting machines. This is typically done when using large or odd shaped wedding invitations that wouldn’t typically fit in the sorting machines.
Depending on the post office location, DeCastro may be forced to pay a small fee for each envelope processed (typically 5 cents) or get the first 50 free and then have to pay the fee for envelopes after that.
In other DeCastro related news, former associate Collin “Project Constitution” Campbell has opened https://www.projectconstitutiontiktok.com, which features sales of digital products similar to DeCastro’s 5A Cop Cards and “indestructible” Trifolds but with Project Constitution branding.
DeCastro has not reacted to the new site as of press time.

It’ll cost him a minimum of an additional 44 cents each mailing if he goes the “non-machinable” route. To mail the rubber band separately, that too would be an additional 44 cents on top of the base rate. It would have to be hand-cancelled/pay the non-machinable rate, too. Can you imagine paying $1.12 to ship a broccoli bunch rubber band? LOL I get a little bit of joy thinking he’s lost $ on damaged items — wait, his followers are stupid enough that I wouldn’t be surprised if they did not request a replacement, or paid for a replacement.
