Jose “Chile” DeCastro complained of experiencing symptoms of “Stockholm Syndrome” in his April 25, 2024, address to his fans that was posted to his DeleteLawZ YouTube account on Thursday.
DeCastro referred to the proposed condition that explains why hostages may develop psychological bonds with their captors. The most famous case of the syndrome came in 1974 as Patty Hearst, granddaughter of William Randoph Hearst, was taken hostage by the Symbionese Liberation Army and later joined the group to rob banks under the name “Tania.”
Hearst served time in prison for the robberies, later being pardoned by President Bill Clinton, and claimed she was not acting of her own free will during the robberies.
Despite his claims of feeling the impact of the syndrome, DeCastro did not indicate how he was impacted by the syndrome. Instead, he spent the majority of his 15-minute address describing his “Constitutional Law Scholar” board game, which shares principles with Hasbro’s popular Trivial Pursuit board game.
Updating his dietary conditions, DeCastro stated that he was trading the foods his fans sent to his commissary for extra bottles of bottled water. The YouTuber stated that the food in jail was not up to his standards and that he was focusing on eating the few fruits and vegetables included in his meals, rather than the main entrees.
DeCastro also expressed outrage that some people were actively celebrating his incarceration. He countered his anger by stating that he would be forever known as the creator of his board game, which he promised to be the most interactive and fun way to learn U.S. History in history.
The YouTuber pushed his latest GoFundMe as a means to fund the $30,000 flat fee required to hire an attorney to handle his upcoming trial for his February 2024 Las Vegas arrest for obstructing/giving false information to a police officer.
DeCastro’s address, recorded before but aired after Michael Ehline’s disastrous appearance in a live on his channel, did a better job at describing DeCastro’s apparent struggles in jail and resulted in a near immediate gain of over $1300 to DeCastro’s latest GoFundMe campaign.

“DeCastro also expressed outrage that some people were actively celebrating his incarceration.”
Ha ha. That makes me joyful to hear. Dude is such an insufferable fake.
