Collin “Project Constitution” Campbell, former business partner of Jose “Chille” DeCastro, updated on Friday his on-going efforts to have DeleteLawZ.com shut down due to violations of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Campbell’s DCMA claim was filed at the same time he filed in protest against DeCastro’s attempt to trademark the brand “DeleteLawz” with the Federal Copyright Office. The claim, along with other complaints against DeleteLawZ.com, resulted in the site being temporarily taken off-line on the same day that DeCastro was jailed last week.
Campbell Takes Action Against DeCastro
The site mysteriously resurfaced days later with none of the complaints resolved. Upon inquiry, Campbell was told that after the owners of DeleteLawZ.com initially denied Campbell’s claims, they canceled their account with the hosting provider and relaunched on another provider.
Besides taking action civil action against DeCastro, Campbell has also obtained a Peace Order against DeCastro in Maryland. Earlier in the week Campbell obtained a six-month extension to his temporary protection order against DeCastro, after DeCastro doxed Campbell on a live infomercial and asked his fans to brigade his former partner.
DeCastro is currently set to go on trial in April for multiple criminal charges in a Maryland Court for actions allegedly committed against Campbell.
