Controversial YouTuber Doctor Dave announced on his YouTube channel on Tuesday that he had received a third copyright strike from YouTuber Audit Them and that his channel would “go dark” starting on Wednesday, April 24.

While the notice Dr. Dave presented on his YouTube community page indicated that his channel would be removed from YouTube seven days after the notice, Dr. Dave indicated that Audit Them had filed multiple false copyright strikes against his channel he’d simply be “gone” for two weeks and would return to YouTube in early May.
Audit Them’s actions came after Dr. Dave recently doxed Audit Them’s identity on his YouTube Community page along with the location of his house, photos of members of his family and Audit Them’s brother’s alleged criminal background.
The pair have been in a complicated YouTube friendship over the years where they would be mortal enemies or best of friends depending on which creators the other was feuding with at the moment. Dr. Dave popularized the racial slur “Goat Boy” in reference to Audit Them’s ancestry, which remains popular to use among his fans.
It is unclear why Audit Them resorted to copyright strikes rather than going after the personal information posted on Dr. Dave’s community page.
