SGV News First and PedoLibreAudits were arrested on Sunday outside of a California church.
The pair were auditing a church on Sunday morning, acting in character to give an impression they were from the middle east when security personnel called police. As the police arrived on scene, both men stayed in character, shouting at people in a mix of heavily accented English and gibberish and not cooperating with instructions.
As police drew their guns on the men and set up a perimeter, SGV eventually would give stay in character but give in to police instructions, approaching the line of police cars and eventually being arrested. PedoLibreAudits would follow soon after, with PedoLibre taking SVG’s camera mount and placing it to the side of the road with his own mount before surrendering to police.
Some humor erupted after both men were taken off as SGV’s associates were able to retrieve their cameras but were unable to figure out how to turn SGV’s camera off. Opting to leave it running, an extra hour was added to the live stream of scenic skies and the ceiling of SGV’s car.
Both men were transported to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department West Valley Detention Center.
As usual, with any arrest of an auditor in their group came a mass protest. Over 20 auditors from all over the San Bernadino region converged on the detention center in order to demand the release of the pair. The group stayed over 10 hours at the center before being trespassed from the property for verbally assaulting other patrons and being a general nuisance.
