Aidan “Turtleboy” Kearney (Turtleboy) was successful in his attempt to obtain a one-year protection order against YouTuber Kate Peter of the Masshole Troll Mafia on Monday in Massachusetts.
Turtleboy claimed that he was in fear of his life after Peter challenged him to a fist fight in social media posts and on a live stream in 2023. Peter, who admitted that she challenged Turtleboy to the fight, issued the following statement on her Discord server:
@everyone yes I can’t even be mad about this one just careful he doesn’t try to manufacture a violation as he’s already been caught filing a false police report on someone else recently. But in summation, literally what was at issue here is that I challenged Aidan to a parking lot fist fight during one of my livestreams and a full calendar year later he responded with a harassment prevention order so we all can safely say that all of his tough talk online is entirely unwarranted and I can continue not going near the guy, as I don’t frequent western massachusetts or county jails anyway. As an added bonus we all have new documents in Aidans own words detailing what he considers to be terrifying harassment that we can compare against his own behavior as we watch him try to challenge the witness intimidation statute as unconstitutional and claim that he did not harass any witnesses so I guess we can do a stream this week
Because of the order, Peter cannot contact Turtleboy directly for a year nor be within 10 yards (30 feet) of the blogger. The Masshole Troll Mafia leader is still able to talk about Turtleboy and may comment on his activities, as long as she does not make direct contact with him.
The 10-yard limit is unusual, as a 100 yard limit has been applied to Turtleboy in a protection order issued to an ex-girlfriend, but may take into account that both Turtleboy and Peter cover the same court cases and will need to be in close proximity to do their jobs as reporters.
This is a breaking news story.

Words from a year ago? Strange…
