Jose “Chille” DeCastro’s editor released two videos from the jailed YouTuber on Monday out of chronological order, with the second video covering DeCastro’s thoughts on the appeals process which was filmed on April 12, 2024.
DeCastro again attacked Judge Ann Zimmerman in the video as someone who was married to a police officer and who had sided with police based on bias. He placed hope that Judge Michelle Leavitt would give him a fair trial as he repeated his claims that he was an innocent journalist jailed for filming police by a biased system.
Switching gears, DeCastro then called his incarceration a good thing as it forced him to rethink the way he phrases his insults towards police. Reminding his audience that he was once represented by attorney Robert Shapiro, he said that he would emulate Shapiro’s style of being nice to everyone he encountered even if he viewed them negatively.
He offered that he would use the acronym “JBTP” instead of calling a police officer a “Jack Boot Thug Pig” and claimed that the softening of his tone would allow him to win a seat in “the legislature” where he would be able to pass bills on his own to reform the criminal justice system.
As part of those reforms, he again offered the idea of having an Apple air tag strapped to the body of those taken into incarceration by police instead of handcuffs. The actions of the person in custody would somehow be negated by the strap as it didn’t matter if the person ran off or attacked police because their movements would be tracked by the tag.
DeCastro offered no indication of how the single strap idea would stop violent offenders, instead concluding that volunteer restraint would work in all cases police officers encountered.
Turning his attention back to the appeals process, DeCastro assured his audience that if he was not granted his freedom by Judge Leavitt at his court hearing on July 10, 2024, he would be released from jail for “good behavior” by July 19, 2024, if he “took some classes.”
The YouTuber went on to claim that if denied by Leavitt he would raise an appeal to the Nevada State Supreme court, then a federal appeals court and then the Untied States Supreme Court. DeCastro begged his fans to contribute to his cash applications and GoFundMe accounts to fund his appeals as he realized that he was ill-equipped to fund his appeals on his own.
DeCastro ended his broadcast by demanding that his followers report an unspecified web site or YouTube channel for “impersonation” for using AI to replicate his voice in order to sell products.
