YouTuber Jeremiah Payne posted on his YouTube community page on Thursday that his mother was hospitalized Thursday morning for breathing problems, and he was awaiting updates on her condition.
Payne took the opportunity to attack his brother in the post, claiming that the brother would never respond to his mother’s plight as “he probably will never respond cause he doesn’t care.” He then claimed to be seeking Uber money to get to the hospital to be with his mother.
Strangely, unlike previous announcements about his mother’s health, Payne’s announcement did not include his pay app links to help raise funding for Uber. Payne had been highly criticized last year by members of the First Amendment auditing community for using his mother’s health in order to raise funds when his mother was not ill or hospitalized.
In one instance, Payne released a picture of his mother “in an intensive care unit,” which was clearly a picture of her sleeping at home in a hospital bed while wearing a face mask from a CPAP machine.
Payne’s mother reportedly lost her spot in an assisted living unit last year when she allowed Payne and his family to stay with her multiple times in violation of the living unit’s guest policy. She has been living with Payne, wife Samantha and their 6-year-old-daughter in hotels since then, often sharing a single room with the entire family.
Her medical status is unknown as of press time.
