Auditor Jeremiah Payne posted a new video on Thursday in which he was stopped by police for lingering on a bridge and walking in the middle of the road in Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
The YouTuber was stopped and asked to identify by Goodlettsville police after pedestrians called and complained about Payne walking with his bicycle in the middle of a busy road and stopping on a bridge for an extended period.
Payne refused to identify himself as anything but his first name, citing his constitutional right against illegal searches and seizures, and threatened to sue the officers and have his followers brigade the Goodlettsville police department following the encounter.
When asked why he lingered on the bridge, Payne told police he was admiring a waterfall that could be seen from the bridge. The police then explained that he could not linger on bridges in Tennessee without permission from the landowner.
The police asked Payne to walk in the grass if he felt the shoulder of the highway was unsafe to walk on. Payne complied after the police left, flipping them off and muttering to himself as the video ended.
Payne’s video has had 368 views since Thursday.
